David Brophy

David Brophy has over 11 years’ experience providing Irish tax advisory services to a wide variety of clients from high-net-worth individuals, to domestic and multinational corporates/ groups. He has advised across a broad range of industries including technology and software, healthcare, hospitality and leisure, education, and property.

David has a detailed understanding in all areas of Irish taxation but focuses mainly on transaction work, such as M&A and property, as well as general tax planning such as group reorganisations, family and estate planning, shareholder exits, and residency planning (personal and corporate).

Prior to joining FOCUS, David worked in Grant Thornton as part of the transaction tax team.

David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from University College Dublin as well as a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP London. He is a Chartered Tax Adviser and an Associate of the Irish Tax Institute.
