Donal Cantillon

Donal Cantillon, a FOCUS Managing Director, has 20+ years of banking, commercial and corporate finance experience working with SMEs, large corporates, and semi-state bodies.

His expertise is in the area of commercial debt finance and M&A, helping companies to achieve their long-term strategic aims.  Donal leads our Munster business from our Limerick office.

Donal has worked across and successfully led many transactions in various sectors including retail, hospitality and leisure, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, engineering, technology, logistics, renewables, and property.

Prior to joining FOCUS, Donal was most recently Head of Business Banking Mid-West with Bank of Ireland while also holding senior positions with Danske Bank and Allied Irish Bank earlier in his career.

A Director and former President (2022) of Limerick Chamber of Commerce and is also a current board member of Chambers Ireland, Donal is an advocate for business growth and economic development in the Mid-West in order to create a thriving region.

Donal is also on the board of Comfort for Chemo Kerry, a cancer charity advocating for and part-funding a stand-alone chemotherapy unit at University Hospital Kerry.

Donal holds an Executive MBA from the University of Limerick, a BSc. Finance Degree from University College Cork, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA).
