Jared Peterson

Jared Peterson is an entrepreneur, operator, and advisor with deep experience building, scaling, and monetizing consumer and direct-to-consumer businesses.

He co-founded Cairn in 2014 and grew it into the leading subscription platform in the outdoor industry, overseeing commerce, marketing, and product. Following its acquisition by Outside, Inc. in 2021, Jared led commerce initiatives across the broader platform, driving growth, integration, and operational alignment.

Earlier in his career, Jared spent a decade at Apple Inc. in IT and operations, including supporting global operations for the launch of Apple Watch.

Today, Jared advises direct-to-consumer brands and founder-led businesses on growth strategy, operational execution, and scaling for exit. He also co-founded ONWRD Supply Co., where he supports sales and marketing initiatives.

Jared holds a B.S. in Business Administration and a Master’s in Information Systems Management from Brigham Young University, and an MBA from The Wharton School.
