Robert Adams is President of FOCUS and has over 25 years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions, debt advisory, equity fundraising, business turnaround and strategic advisory services for a wide range of clients.
Robert divides his time between Ireland and the USA, leading substantial capital markets transactions on both sides of the Atlantic.
With deep industry knowledge, strong commercial acumen, and a client-focused approach, Robert has successfully completed numerous transactions in real estate, hospitality, retail and aviation, amongst other industries. His strategic insight and global perspective have made him a sought-after advisor for cross-border deals and complex capital market engagements.
Robert is also a board member of M&A Worldwide, a global corporate finance advisory organization with an extensive network of professionals in 46 offices across 36 countries.
Robert is the chairperson of the acquisition company which brought FOCUS Capital Partners and FOCUS Investment Banking under common ownership in 2024 to provide world-class advisory services to middle-market clients on both sides of the Atlantic.
In 2010, Robert co-founded FOCUS Capital Partners – Ireland’s fastest growing boutique corporate advisory firm – with offices in Limerick and Dublin.
Prior to this, Robert was a partner at BDO Ireland, spending 10 years in corporate finance advisory with the firm.
Robert is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland from which he holds several diplomas, as well as a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) (Hons) Degree from University of Limerick.
